Hi! I'm Sarah

I have lived in the Francis Howell School District for 22 years with my husband and our two children.  Francis Howell has provided my children with an amazing academic education.  As a parent, I am forever grateful to the expert educators in our community for their dedication and commitment to students.

Before becoming a teacher, I had a corporate career as a software developer and business analyst. Although I thrived in the fast pace of the technology industry, my passion for education became evident through the local volunteer work that I was doing with various youth organizations. 

I have a Bachelor of Science in English and Education as well as my Master's Degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Missouri. This is my 10th year as a middle school teacher and I absolutely love working with the students and families of our community.  I have partnered with hundreds of students, educational experts, and parents to ensure that students’ academic, social, and emotional needs are fully supported in alignment with or exceeding state standards. 

As an educator and a parent, I look forward to supporting the Francis Howell School District in its mission to prepare students to be lifelong learners who are ready for the future.

As a candidate for the Board, I bring a balanced perspective that combines 10 years of firsthand classroom experience, combined with the insights of a devoted parent. I am eager to advocate for policies that prioritize equitable access to resources, innovative learning opportunities, and comprehensive support for our talented educators.
